Wild Rift
How Do Ranked Marks Work in Wild Rift?
Wild Rift’s ranked progress unit: win to earn a Mark, lose to drop one from Silver up, and fill a division to move to the next.
What are Ranked Marks in Wild Rift?
Ranked Marks are how you progress in Wild Rift ranked. In most games, a win earns one Mark and a loss costs one Mark from Silver upward, while losses in Iron and Bronze cost nothing. When you fill a division’s Marks, you move up. Since patch 7.2, Ranked Energy, earned through performance, also feeds into your progress.
How Marks work
- Win: gain a Mark.
- Loss: lose a Mark from Silver upward; Iron and Bronze don’t lose Marks.
- Fill a division: collecting enough Marks moves you to the next division, and higher tiers need more Marks per division.
- Run out: losing with no Marks left can drop you down.
Ranked Energy
In patch 7.2 (July 2026), Riot removed Fortitude and Rising Star and replaced them with Ranked Energy. You earn it through in-game performance, with bonuses for MVP, S and A ratings and other standout plays, and it contributes directly to your rank progression. Patch 7.3 added a Legendary S rating above S for exceptional games and extra Energy for filling roles the queue needs. Ranked violations cost Ranked Energy.
Ranked Marks vs. LP in League of Legends
| Wild Rift | League of Legends (PC) | |
|---|---|---|
| Unit | Ranked Marks | League Points (LP) |
| Per game | Usually one Mark won or lost | A variable amount of LP based on matchmaking |
| Low ranks | No Marks lost in Iron and Bronze | LP can be lost at every rank |
| Performance bonus | Ranked Energy | No equivalent system |
Example
You are in Gold and one win away from filling your division. You win with an S rating, earn the last Mark and move up. The next game you lose, but your strong performance adds Ranked Energy toward your progress.
Above Diamond
Master and the tiers above it work differently from the divisions below, and reaching Master also opens Legendary Ranked. If you want help climbing, our Wild Rift elo boost can get you there.
