League of Legends Hall of Legends 2026: Caps Becomes the First Western Player Inducted
The League of Legends Hall of Legends 2026 has officially found its newest member. Riot Games has announced Rasmus “Caps” Winther as the third player to enter the prestigious LoL Esports Hall of Fame, making the G2 Esports mid laner the first Western professional player to receive the honor.
Caps now joins an incredibly exclusive group of League of Legends icons. Faker became the inaugural Hall of Legends inductee in 2024, followed by legendary Chinese ADC Uzi in 2025. With Caps taking the spotlight in 2026, Europe finally has its representative among the biggest names in competitive League history.
And Riot is going big for the occasion.
The Hall of Legends 2026 celebration will include a dedicated event, a massive 100-level pass, exclusive cosmetics, new Tristana and Orianna skins, and premium collections inspired by Caps' career.
Who Is the Hall of Legends 2026 Inductee?
Riot Games officially revealed Caps as the third Hall of Legends inductee on August 16, 2026.
The Danish mid laner has become one of the defining figures of European League of Legends, building a career around mechanical skill, aggressive decision-making, unusual champion picks, and the ability to compete against some of the best players from Korea and China.
Riot described Caps as a player whose career changed what Western teams believed was possible internationally, calling him the most decorated player in European League of Legends history.
His induction is especially significant because Caps is the first player from the Western competitive scene to enter the Hall of Legends.
Why Caps Earned a Place in the League of Legends Hall of Legends
Caps' international résumé makes his selection easy to understand.
After emerging as one of Europe's biggest talents with Fnatic, Caps reached the 2018 World Championship Final. He later moved to G2 Esports and became a central part of one of the strongest Western League of Legends rosters ever assembled.
In 2019, G2 won the Mid-Season Invitational, claimed both European splits and reached the World Championship Final, where the team eventually lost to FunPlus Phoenix.

League of Legends Hall of Legends 2026 Event Release Date
The Hall of Legends 2026 event begins on September 10 at 11:00 AM Pacific Time and runs until October 20 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time, according to Riot Games.
The celebration arrives alongside a dedicated in-game experience centered around Caps' competitive career.
Riot has also confirmed that the full Hall of Legends Caps film will premiere on September 10, giving fans a deeper look at his journey and legacy in professional League of Legends.

The Caps-themed Hall of Legends Event Pass costs 1,950 RP and features 100 levels of unlockable rewards.

Riot is offering three different tiers of the Tristana collection.
Risen Legend Tristana Collection – 5,035 RP
The entry-level premium collection includes Risen Legend Tristana, a takedown counter taunt, an exclusive border, icon and emote, as well as the Hall of Legends Event Pass.
Immortalized Legend Tristana Collection – 32,035 RP
The Immortalized version significantly expands the skin.
Immortalized Legend Tristana features three unique “Mechanical Genius” forms with special voice-over elements, enhanced Rocket Jump visuals, a Rapid Fire HUD, champion and structure finisher effects, a holographic splash treatment, dynamic profile background and additional exclusive cosmetics.
Signature Immortalized Legend Collection – 58,865 RP
At the top sits the 58,865 RP Signature Collection.
It includes Caps-themed Signature upgrades for Tristana and Orianna, exclusive splash art and borders, Paragon chromas, a Hall of Legends 2026 Signature Banner, a signed icon, an animated emote and the highly appropriate “Claps” title.
The bundle also immediately unlocks all 100 levels of the Hall of Legends Pass and includes the content from the Immortalized collection.
Orianna Also Receives a Hall of Legends 2026 Skin
Tristana may be the centerpiece, but she is not the only champion involved in the celebration.
Caps is also being honored with Risen Legend Orianna, which is available through the Hall of Legends Pass.
